as DB shows go and seen many, this is one the best,if you love solid space acid jams, and Red Rocks is the venue for em.as to the guy about sts9.,great improvisation without any point, but fun and btw,did u mean University of Miami or michigan?UM fan
anyways,i deviate, this show is in my personal top 3,it really depends on what kinda melt you want when, for the Rocks,i dont think you could ask for better cept the Dead 7/8/78,thus,i have finished my diatribe, happy trails campers :-)

For me this was a real celebration of the biscuits 2.0 I think the band is really starting to find their new sound and I am so happy with the results. They've got that good vibration "so to speak" and its a sweet sensation. Some fans aren't into the new material but I see it as a great progression. Who knows these guys could play the Uni-Verse someday?

I enjoyed bisco inferno very much. The SM>I-man>SM>Crickets was a great segment, good crickets peak. When they broke into Sabre Dance i thought i was at a circus but couldn't stop thinking about Pee-Wees big adventure in my head! Second set was enjoyable, except i really don't like a lot of the new stuff (m80, uber glue).
All and all i would say it was a HUGE success (probably about 7500 tickets sold) and all the bands played well enough to dance the whole time.
can't wait to go back necxt year!

BUCKETS!!! this was the heat. @ perkins: sound tribe is for little girls. UM is a tad better, but really doesn't compare to bisco. I've walked out of STS9 shows before, they're losing their game. they were awesome in 00-03 tho. BISCO w00t!
someone post starscape so i can listen to it sober!!

Great show. Musically I liked the first set better but it was excellent all the way through. I loved the multiple trips through I-Man, and although I usually think its a cheesy song, City in the encore was perfect for Red Rocks. Great sound quality too. Thanks a million!

Wow! This is a great recording that will give the SBDs a run for their money. 5 star sound quality.
Despite the comments here about "true Bisco fans", people seem to be about 50/50 on whether this is the best show ever, or whether its fairly average. I thought the previous night was considerably better, but deciding between good vs. bad Bisco seems to be about the most subjective thing on Earth.
So you'll either love this recording, or probably not care too much for it at all. There seems to be no in between.

Great show. The sound quality is good too. In and out of I-man! The Crickets>Sound1 is to die for, and Orch Theme to close out Caterpillar is as slick as snot.
See, here's the thing. Lotus played well. RJD2 played the same set he played when he opened Red Rock for Tribe. Z trip does what he always does. He made people dance. But really, man, Umphrey's and Tribe? Umphrey's is living proof that incredibly talented musicians can get together and practice really hard to create terrible music. And Sector9's been imploding since March 2007. It started in early 2006. Trust me. I've probably seen a couple more sector shows than you. Have you ever considered the fact that you don't like unstructured improvisational music? I mean, if you didn't like the inferno, I can't see you enjoying sts9 in 2003. I'm just saying, no, no I'm not. As my friend once said after catching me talking to an UM fan, "This conversation is OVER."
HEY BISCUIT FANS! THIS IS THE GOOD SHIT!

When i first heard about this band, it was compared with gread bands such as umphrey's and sound tribe, and no offence, but disco biscuits suck. i thought lotus and z trip adn rjd2 showed them up at this show and in dont think they deserved the honnor of playing till 2 at red rocks
